Author Biography
Mike Crowl has published articles, a weekly newspaper column, hundreds of blog posts, and several short stories. He is also as a composer of songs and piano pieces, and has taken part in several theatrical productions in the 21st century. Grimhilda! began life as a children's opera back in the late 1970s, then spent many years in a back drawer. In 2011 Cherianne Parks came on board as co-writer. The script was begun from scratch, retaining some characters, losing others, adding more. Grimhilda! the musical was the result and the stage version was produced in 2012. This e-book version is a novelised and expanded version of the stage script. Crowl has been happily married for forty years, has five grown-up children and eleven grandchildren (with another due in 2016). Though born in Melbourne, Australia, he has lived most of his life in Dunedin, New Zealand.
